The Storm Futsal Goalkeeper Academy is a specialised training program designed exclusively for futsal goalkeepers, with a strong focus on modern futsal-specific techniques, decision-making, and game understanding. This program runs Tuesday nights at Springwood State High School and is delivered by Lochie Winter, a Football Queensland State Goalkeeper with extensive experience in elite goalkeeper development. Sessions are tailored to the unique demands of futsal, including: Footwork, movement, and positioning in tight spaces 1v1 situations and shot-stopping at close range Distribution and playing as an extra outfield player Decision-making under pressure Confidence, communication, and game awareness This is the only futsal-specific goalkeeper academy currently operating in Queensland, making it a unique opportunity for young goalkeepers who want to develop correctly for the futsal game rather than adapting outdoor techniques.
